The Fairfield County Transit System has implemented additional routes and services to expand its impact in Fairfield County. Beginning August 5th, 2019, the Transit System will begin offering the following:

Transit Go is a demand-response service providing curb-to-curb transportation within specific areas of the county and beyond (up to 50 miles). Transit-Go will operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, excluding certain holidays. Riders must call and give a 24 hour notice to arrange for transportation. Killian Road Express is a transportation service offered in partnership with the Comet based out of Columbia. The Fairfield County Transit bus will stop at 10 locations around Winnsboro before proceeding to the Killian Road Superstop. There, riders may transfer to a Comet bus traveling to the Transit Center at Laurel and Sumter Streets in Downtown Columbia. Click here to view a list of pick-up times and locations along the route.

The Transit System will continue offering Medicaid Transportation services. All Fairfield County Transit buses are ADA compliant and are fully equipped with a lift and a mobility aid securement area.
